Bob Gessel has over 35 years of experience in the telecom, communications, and software industries and is currently a board member at Endeavorpoint Consulting specializing in technology strategy, business development, and go-to-market consulting. Before his current role, Gessel spent 29 years at Ericsson where he was most recently Head of Strategy & Market Development for the North American Enterprise unit, focusing on strategy, new market development, and strategic partnerships. He also served as Ericsson’s Head of Technology Strategy Development for 10 years, driving corporate technology strategy and planning through industry trend analysis, market and competitive analysis, and business case and business plan development.

Gessel is an expert in wireless networking technology (4G, 5G, LPWAN) and a pioneer in Private Cellular Networks, IoT, and Industrial Networks. His background also includes business development and sales in SI services and multimedia products, principal solution architect, and founding two startups: MobileStream Wireless, Inc. and Scenescape, Inc. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years in software engineering and R&D management with Ericsson, Siemens, and Northern Telecom.

Gessel holds a B.S.E.E from Southern Methodist University and MicroMasters Certificate in Digital Leadership from Boston University.
